The Equipment Operator II is a position within the Environmental Services Department that involves the operation of the following; tractor, backhoe, bulldozer, skid steer, excavator, garbage truck and other land maintenance machinery in the performance of construction and maintenance of county facilities and grounds, rights-of-ways, roads, ditches, and other county properties and infrastructure.
Work is mostly performed outdoors and subject to extreme weather conditions, exposure to fumes from exhaust on equipment, exposure to high noise levels and characteristics typical of a solid waste landfill.
Work is generally heavy in nature involving sitting, standing, bending, carrying, walking, and lifting, pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds. Exposure to extreme vibration during operation of equipment. EXAMINATIONS: No written or performance examination will be required for this position.
