Bexar County is seeking an Equipment Operator II at a pay range of $19.99–$23.49 per hour for full-time work. The role covers operating light to medium road construction equipment, performing asphalt application with mechanized tools, and conducting routine maintenance on equipment.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience, a valid Texas Class B CDL, and the ability to work overtime and on-call.

Operate various types of equipment including, but not limited to, mowers, shredders, fork lifts, sweepers, rollers, loaders, fuel trucks, and dump trucks used in construction and maintenance of roadways, drainage structures and parking facilities. Prepare and apply asphalt using both mechanized and non‑mechanized equipment. Complete service checks, maintenance and minor repairs of various pieces of road equipment. Perform various safety‑related procedures at construction sites, including installation of various types of traffic control devices and directing traffic. Complete administrative logs, forms and reports. Assist in providing on‑the‑job training to less experienced and lower‑level employees. May exercise technical supervision over employees in the performance of road construction and maintenance. Perform related duties as required.
