Job summary

Daikin Applied in Dayton, OH is seeking a safety-conscious warehouse associate to join our climate-controlled facility. You will operate basic warehouse equipment, perform pre-operation inspections, and use WMS with handheld scanners to move materials efficiently.

Qualified candidates will meet High School or GED requirements (or 2 years related manufacturing experience) and demonstrate English communication skills, physical stamina, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to lift, push, and pull materials; stand for long periods.
• Minimum High School diploma or GED, or 2 years related manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment per SOPs.
• Move materials using powered equipment and perform loading/unloading tasks.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections and uses WMS/handheld scanners.
• Identify quality issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Your Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.


• Operate basic warehouse equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.


• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including unloading, loading, put away, runner, and picking tasks.


• Conducts pre-operation inspections.


• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.


• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.


• Demonstrates increasing responsibility for equipment operation and types of equipment used.


• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.


• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.


• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.


• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.


• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
