Job summary

Daikin Applied Ltd. is hiring for a warehouse associate in Dayton, OH. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential on the 2nd shift (11:00 AM–8:00 PM, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Able to lift, push, and pull materials for extended periods while standing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Use basic hand tools and PPE per safety rules.
• High School/GED or 2+ years related manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment per SOPs.
• Transport materials using powered industrial vehicles (PIV) and assist with unloading/loading.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and use WMS and handheld scanners.
• Identify quality issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including unloading, loading, put away, runner, and picking tasks.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Demonstrates increasing responsibility for equipment operation and types of equipment used.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
