Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc in Dayton, OH is seeking a warehouse associate to join the world’s leading HVAC company. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with a 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday–Friday shift.

You will operate basic warehouse equipment, perform pre-operation inspections, use the Warehouse Management System and handheld scanners, and keep work areas clean following 5S standards. Prior experience and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment and PPE is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic warehouse equipment following SOPs.
• Safely transport materials using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV).
• Unloading, loading, put away, runner and picking tasks.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and use WMS and scanners.
• Identify quality issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including unloading, loading, put away, runner, and picking tasks.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Demonstrates increasing responsibility for equipment operation and types of equipment used.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
