Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is hiring for a 1st shift position at the Dayton, OH facility. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with a 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday schedule.

The role involves preparing crates, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and following safety policies to keep the facility running smoothly. Qualifications

• Basic safety policies and work instructions adherence.
• Able to read diagrams and perform measurements with basic math.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld scanners.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, cuts, secures and assembles crates to prevent product damage.
• Safely transport materials using PIVs including forklift.
• Read diagrams and use measuring devices; follow step-by-step instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Identify quality issues and escalate when needed.
• Complete daily tasks with PPE and safety in mind.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepares, cuts, secures and assembles crates to prevent product damage.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using manual and Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including pallet jack, forklift.
• Attention to detail with emphasis on reading diagrams, solid math skills, measuring devices and following step-by-step instructions.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Able to achieve safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to physically complete tasks including lifting, moving, and carrying up to 35 lbs. consistently throughout shift.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
