Lumin8 Transportation Technologies LLC seeks an Equipment Operator in Ashland, VA, to operate hydro-vac trucks, bucket trucks, excavators, and other heavy equipment for transportation infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum eight years combined experience as Groundsman/Laborer, Maintenance Technician I or Construction Technician I and Equipment Operator I.
• Must be proficient with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Must be proficient at traffic signal wiring.
• Must be able to read plans and schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Skilled and technical work in construction, installation, and repair of traffic signal systems, highway lighting, and related transportation systems.
• Drives construction equipment to and from job sites, loads/unloads equipment.
• Inspects equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and reports needed repairs.
• Safely operates equipment including aerial lifts, trenchers, cranes, backhoes, trackhoes, air compressors, and concrete saws.
• Assists with supervision and training of subordinate employees.
• Follow requirements for utility locates and permits.
• Fill out and submit required personal and project paperwork.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and communicate with customers and contractors.
• Ensure certifications and licenses are maintained and renewed.
