Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Cleveland, MS is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to operate power construction equipment such as backhoes, loaders and trenchers on assignment.

You will follow project specs, perform daily equipment inspections and maintain logs, uphold safety standards, and coordinate with crew members to ensure efficient and safe operations on site. Preferred NCCER certifications and a valid commercial driver's license are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating power construction equipment.
• Commercial driver's license is required when equipment will be operated on public roads.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate gasoline, diesel, pneumatic or electric powered equipment to move objects or material according to project specifications.
• Perform daily inspections and document results in maintenance logs.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities and ensure safe operation.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in pre-job planning and safety discussions.
