Job summary

LeoTerra Siteworks in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Equipment Operator – Grading to perform rough and fine grading on site development projects. You will operate dozers, graders, and related equipment, read plans, and establish elevations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of grading experience, can interpret grade stakes, and works safely in a fast-paced environment. CDL is not required but a valid driver's license is needed; GPS control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of grading experience.
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes and site plans.
• Experience with GPS machine control systems is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required).

Responsibilities

• Operate dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, and compactors.
• Perform rough and fine grading for building pads, roadways, and site development.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
• Establish and maintain proper elevations and slopes.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Work closely with foreman, surveyors, and crew members.
• Maintain safe job site operations and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with other site work as needed.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator – Grading to join our team. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment to perform rough and fine grading for site development projects. The ideal candidate has experience establishing proper grade, working from plans, and operating safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, and compactors
• Perform rough and fine grading for building pads, roadways, and site development
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans
• Establish and maintain proper elevations and slopes
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Work closely with foreman, surveyors, and crew members
• Maintain safe job site operations and follow OSHA guidelines
• Assist with other site work as needed

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
