Job summary

LeoTerra Siteworks in Troutman, NC is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator Grading to join our site development team. You will operate heavy equipment to perform rough and fine grading according to plans, establish elevations, and ensure safe, efficient operations on a fast-paced construction site.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of grading experience, reads grade stakes and site plans, and is familiar with GPS machine control systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years of grading experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes and site plans.
• Experience with GPS machine control systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steers, and compactors.
• Perform rough and fine grading for building pads, roadways, and site development.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
• Establish and maintain proper elevations and slopes.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Work closely with foreman, surveyors, and crew members; follow OSHA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as dozers motor graders excavators skid steers and compactorsPerform rough and fine grading for building pads roadways and site developmentRead and interpret blueprints grade stakes and site plansEstablish and maintain proper elevations and slopesConduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenanceWork closely with foreman surveyors and crew membersMaintain safe job site operations and follow OSHA guidelinesAssist with other site work as needed
