This position plays a critical role in both operating heavy equipment and leading on-site teams through excavation and site development projects. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of excavation equipment including backhoes, skid steers, dozers, and mini-excavators
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site layouts to ensure precision
• Lead and supervise small field crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to spec
• Perform pre-operation checks and basic maintenance on equipment
• Communicate daily project progress and challenges with supervisors and clients
• Ensure jobsite compliance with safety protocols and company procedures
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and job progress
• Provide hands-on assistance as needed in excavation and grading tasks

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery in site development or excavation
• Ability to read site plans and work from grade stakes and drawings
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good communication skills with the ability to lead a small crew
• Physically capable of working in various weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Clean license and CDL Class B is highly preferred for the Foreman position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both residential and commercial excavation work
• Previous foreman or crew lead experience
• Familiarity with laser or GPS grading systems is a plus
• OSHA safety training is a bonus

Work Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours based on project needs

Work Location

• Based in Crossville, Tennessee (Jobsite locations vary within the region)
