Job summary

SolPowerlines, LLC is seeking a field helper to assist linemen with overhead power line construction, maintenance, and repair in Texas. You will perform sectionalizing, pre-job inspections, and help operate digger derricks and bucket trucks as part of a crew.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license; CDL preferred/required for heavy equipment work.
• Able to pass drug, alcohol and background checks as part of safety policy.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work overtime when required.
• Experience assisting linemen and operating power line support equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist linemen in construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead lines.
• Perform sectionalizing and isolation for maintenance or emergencies.
• Conduct pre-job inspections; ensure PPE and equipment are functional.
• Operate Digger Derrick to dig and set poles under supervision.
• Communicate with crews and dispatch; document switching orders and status.
• Drive and operate bucket trucks; handle tools and materials as needed.
• Work outdoors in various weather and heights; on-call and storm response may occur.
