Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Scraper Operator to support construction projects in Kansas City. The successful candidate will operate a 627 Scraper and collaborate with crew members and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You will maintain equipment, perform basic repairs, train new operators, and communicate effectively with the team while upholding safety and quality standards across job sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
  • 1+ years of heavy equipment operation experience, construction setting preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; government contracts experience a plus.

Job description

We are seeking a Scraper Operator to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget. As a key member of our team, the Operator will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a 627 Scraper

  • Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality

  • Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed

  • Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget

Qualifications

  • Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
