Position Title: Equipment Operator

Business: York Building Products (YBP)

Reports To: [Specify Supervisor]

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the safe operation of various pieces of mining equipment.

Essential Functions

1. Operate front end loader, dozer, haul truck, and/or excavator effectively.
2. Perform routine inspection and maintenance on mobile/plant equipment.
3. Interact courteously with customers, co-workers, and management.
4. Maintain awareness of safety and efficiency, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
2. Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
3. Prior mining environment experience preferred.
4. Ability to operate various heavy equipment.
5. Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
6. Ability to follow safety procedures.

Work Environment

1. Work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
2. Perform work outdoors and indoors, enduring various weather elements.
3. Operate heavy equipment and machinery.

Physical Capabilities

Must be able to walk, sit, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
