Description

POSITION PURPOSE: To safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders on construction sites. Responsibilities include moving earth and materials to prepare land for building projects, constructing roads, bridges, and other structures, and maintaining infrastructure by clearing debris and leveling surfaces. This role requires significant skill and responsibility for safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect all vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
• Operate heavy-duty construction and maintenance equipment, including bulldozers, motor graders, rollers, front-end loaders, mowing equipment, boom axes, cranes, excavators, and other complex machinery.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of specialized equipment, reporting safety issues immediately.
• Operate rollers to seal road surfaces, compact soil, and fill potholes.
• Remove debris, haul bulk materials like gravel, and clean waterways to ensure proper water flow.
• With proper training, operate distributor machines for oil calibration on road repairs.
• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance as directed.
• Complete other duties as assigned to meet project deadlines.

Experience

Experience with asphalt/lay down machines and asphalt processes is highly desired. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Education Required

• High school diploma or GED, with additional technical training certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or a combination of education and experience.
