Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Noti, Oregon, is seeking an Equipment Operator for the log yard. You will safely operate machinery to load and unload log trucks, assist in sorting logs, and maintain a clean and orderly log yard.

About the Position

• Safely and efficiently operate log yard equipment to load and unload log trucks and maintain production speed.
• Assist in sorting logs by species and feed logs to the sawmill.
• Climb ladders on heavy equipment and operate machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Maintain a clean and orderly log yard, keeping the yard and mill decks clear of debris.
• Work is fast‑paced and can, at times, be demanding.
• Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold environments.
• Work may consist of various shifts with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times.

Qualifications

• At least one year of prior experience operating heavy equipment and chainsaw.
• Ability to recognize and sort logs by species.
