Job summary

SIERRA PACIFIC INDUSTRIES in California is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators who earn $35.43 per hour plus an up to $1,500 hiring bonus. About the Position

• Operate frontend loader to load/unload log trucks
• Sort logs by species and feed logs to the sawmill
• Climb ladders on heavy equipment and operate machinery
• Learn to operate chipper, heel boom loader, and plow snow with the loader in the winter
• The work is fast‑paced and can, at times, be demanding
• Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold work environments
• Work may consist of various shifts, with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times

Qualifications

• Proven ability to recognize and sort logs by species
