Primary Responsibilities

• Operate various equipment used in the construction division, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, front end loaders, skid steers, asphalt and dirt rollers, transfer machines.

Essential Job Functions

Operate equipment to support construction and paving operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform work safely and efficiently.
• Work during daytime and nighttime hours.

Personal Protective Equipment

Employees must wear PPE such as hardhats, safety glasses, reinforced-toe shoes, gloves, safety vests, and hearing protection as outlined by OSHA and state regulations.

Physical Demands

Must be able to talk, hear, sit, walk, stand, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, reach above shoulders, and lift up to 75 pounds. Vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

Frequently lift 0-25 lbs; occasionally lift 50-75 lbs. Tasks include bending, climbing, reaching, kneeling, squatting, standing, and walking.

Work Environment

Work frequently occurs near moving mechanical parts, outdoors in cold, icy, wet, or humid conditions, with high noise levels. Accommodations can be made for disabilities.
