Job summary

Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut is seeking a construction equipment operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and skid steers, and preparing sites for building, demolition or excavation.

The ideal candidate will have an MA Hoisting License or be willing to obtain one, be able to perform physical labor in all weather, and pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.

Qualifications

• MA Hoisting License is required/preferred as listed in the job spec.
• Pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to perform physical labor and other strenuous tasks.
• Ability to work in all weather.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavator, loader, bulldozer, skid steer, etc
• Prepare construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation
• Dig holes and trenches
• Prepare building sites for parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, etc.
• Inspects and fuels equipment

Requirements

• MA Hoisting License
• OSHA 10 certified preferred
• Reliable transportation.
• Pass a background check.
