Job summary

Mid Valley Disposal is seeking an Equipment Operator in Kingsburg, CA, to support compost and transfer operations. This full-time, on-site role involves operating heavy equipment and maintaining equipment readiness while following safety protocols.

You will inspect machines, keep an orderly yard, and assist with compost and transfer station tasks as assigned. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; HS diploma or GED required. Shift flexibility is expected.

Mid Valley Disposal is looking for skilled and safety-driven Equipment Operators to support our Compost and Transfer Station operations. What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in keeping materials flowing safely and efficiently by operating heavy equipment and supporting daily site operations.

Equipment Operation

• Operate front-end loaders, excavators, grinders, screens, forklifts, and related equipment
• Perform daily inspections and report maintenance needs
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition
• Follow daily production schedules and safety protocols

Compost Operations (as assigned)

• Process organic materials through grinding, screening, and loading systems
• Monitor compost quality and system performance
• Load materials into bunkers and transfer trailers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready yard

Transfer Station Operations (as assigned)

• Move, sort, and load materials on the tipping floor
• Monitor incoming loads for contamination or hazardous waste
• Direct traffic and assist drivers as needed
• Help maintain a clean and safe working environment

What We’re Looking For

Preferred: Experience in composting, waste, or industrial operations

This is a hands-on role in an active industrial setting. You’ll be working around:

• Heavy equipment, dust, and noise
• Outdoor conditions (heat, cold, and weather exposure)
• Waste and compost materials

The role involves a mix of equipment operation and physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.
