  • Affix labels to pallets or cartons.
  • Apply shrink-wrap to pallets of merchandise.
  • Transport merchandise to storage locations from receiving.
  • Pick products as needed.
  • Relocate product to additional locations as needed.
  • Transport merchandise to shipping as needed.
  • Use a scanner to track inventory and locations.
  • Follow company policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Scope of the Role

The Equipment Operator is responsible for assisting with overall warehouse operations, including transporting, loading, unloading, and stacking products to/from pallets, floors, or racks.

Reporting Structure

The Equipment Operator is a member of the Fulfillment Center team and reports to the Fulfillment Center Supervisor/Manager. This position also partners with cross-functional team members across the organization.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and stack merchandise onto or from pallets, floor, or racks using Material Handling Equipment, with occasional manual handling.
  • Separate merchandise for shipment to warehouse location or as directed by management.
  • Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling.
  • Affix appropriate labels to pallets or cartons.
  • Apply shrink-wrap to pallets of merchandise.
  • Transport merchandise to storage locations from receiving.
  • Pick products as needed.
  • Relocate product to additional locations as needed.
  • Transport merchandise directly to shipping as needed.
  • Use a scanner to process merchandise for accurate inventory and location tracking.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Required Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year’s experience required in a similar role in the warehouse environment.
  • Required experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack (active certification is a plus).
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and comprehend freight instructions.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to safely operate a pallet jack.
  • Excellent attendance required; must be able to work on a regular and predictable basis or as scheduled due to changes in business needs and/or during peak season.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation.
  • Ability to stand on your feet frequently for long periods and walk the fulfillment center and surrounding area; 10–12‑hour shifts may be needed per business needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a continual basis.
