Job Description

Operators are responsible for performing a combination of skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance in the Hampton, VA area. Equipment operations include, but are not limited to, operating backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, motor-graders, tractors/bush-hogs, and similar machinery. The position also involves flagging traffic, setting up work zones and traffic control, cutting brush, cleaning ditches and debris, patching potholes, and performing emergency roadway operations.
