We are currently looking for Scale Operators to join our facility in Mecklenburg, NC

Job Summary

The Equipment Operator operates equipment including frontend loaders with buckets, forklifts (12k or smaller) with rotators, bobcats, and skid steers. Operators must follow all safety regulations and perform pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections, including greasing and daily equipment upkeep.

Major Responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
2. Complete inspection reports prior to equipment use.
3. Operate machinery safely under supervision, load trucks, and pile scrap material.
4. Clean equipment at shift end and perform inspections.
5. Support yard duties when not operating equipment.
6. Follow safety protocols, including PPE use, and report issues immediately.
7. Transport bales and loose materials as designated.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's license.
• At least 12 months of related experience or training, or equivalent.

Physical and Work Conditions

The role requires standing, reaching, walking, handling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
