Description

Equipment Operator

Baytown, Texas

PSC Group is now hiring Equipment Operators to join our team at our new Advanced Recycling Plant located in Baytown, Texas. The plant has a state-of-the-art shredding, grinding and densifying equipment to provide customized feedstock for the commercial production of recycled polymers. This plant is part of the overall Sustainability Business within PSC Group. This is a fast paced and fast-growing business that is working to meet the customer demands around circular economies.

As we expand this growing division, PSC is partnered with the Plastics Industry Association's Operation Clean Sweep program. We are now providing sustainability and recycling programs to help plastic resin manufacturers protect the environment by reducing and eliminating pellet, flake and powder loss.



Work Schedule: 10 hour rotating shifts



Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00 an hour



Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain a consistent and constant supply of raw materials into wash line


• Safely operates a forklift and skid steer / front-end loader to move product


• Properly weighs finished product in boxes and places in warehouse


• Completes daily production reports that are required to be filled out throughout the day


• Oversees all wash line equipment, pumps and motors are operating properly throughout shift


• Performs basic housekeeping duties throughout shift to maintain a clean and safe work environment


• Completes any other duties assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times


• Must possess a valid driver's license


• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.


• Stable work history with good references from past employers


• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check


• PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

You must be able to:

• Speak, write, read fluent English. Hear and have good vision.


• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required


• Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold


• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE


• Lift 60 pounds floor to waist


• Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally


• Carry 20 pounds while walking


• Climb stairs and ladders


• Stand 8-12 hours per day


• Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
