Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator in Atlanta, GA to support large-parcel civil site projects. You will operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders and related machinery, maintaining safety and productivity on active sites.

Collaborating with crews, you will prepare sites for building, excavation, or utility work and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires vigilance and clear communication with foremen and teammates.

Qualifications

• Operate excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers and other heavy machines safely and efficiently.
• Follow all site safety protocols and regulations at all times.
• Coordinate with crews to meet project timelines and install materials as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
• Communicate with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.
• Report injuries and accidents to the Foreman and Job Superintendent.
• Inspect and fuel vehicles prior to shift start and perform routine maintenance.

Heavy equipment operators handle motorized machines such as bulldozers, excavators, track loaders, rollers, and dump trucks. The heavy equipment operator's duties include preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement of materials and liaising with coworkers to ensure that the projects are completed accurately. You will be required to conduct your duties in a safe, diligent manner at all times.

• Advising the Foreman of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspects and fuels vehicle prior to beginning shift.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
