Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. seeks a skilled equipment mechanic to service aerial devices, digger derricks and other heavy equipment across our nationwide network.

You will replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components, consult manuals and maintenance books, and perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports. Maintain a safe, clean work area, follow Altec Safety practices, and communicate issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling.
• High level of dexterity.
• As needed, provide basic tools per the Altec tool policy.
• Drive motor vehicles.
• Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to support customer by working overtime.
• Advocate safety in everything we do.

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize technical support resources in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts for repair.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
• Perform all tasks in alignment with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship.
• Provide accurate information on required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• All other duties as assigned.
