Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment across a diverse fleet including aerial work platforms, pumps and HVAC systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and may require bilingual abilities depending on location. A safety-focused, team-oriented environment and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge/skills in hydraulic systems and troubleshooting, electrical systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment including aerial work platforms, pumps and HVAC systems.
• Ensure safety and efficiency to minimize downtime.
