Job summary

SSA Marine is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy machinery, engines, and production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure equipment reliability on site.

The role involves coordinating with managers on downtime, maintaining stock levels, and documenting maintenance activities. Must have a Class B license and related certifications, with strong communication skills and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience with diagnosing machinery and performing preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, engines, motors, and production machinery.
• Observes equipment in operation and uses testing tools to locate problems.
• Prevents downtime by scheduling and advising on maintenance activities.
• Maintains inventory levels and sources parts to support maintenance work.
• Keeps logs of repairs and maintenance and adheres to schedules.
