Job summary

T. Parker Host is seeking an Equipment Mechanic at Avondale Global Gateway in Avondale, LA. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on repairing and maintaining mobile equipment assets. A successful candidate reads electrical/hydraulic schematics, uses diagnostic tools such as CAT ET, SIS, and Cummins Insite, and performs work safely with required documentation. OT and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Able to read and interpret service literature and bulletins.
• Proficient computer skills for maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventive maintenance on mobile equipment assets.
• Diagnose issues, recommend repairs, test and adjust.
• Disassemble/reassemble components and test operation.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Work safely and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• Willing to work overtime and after-hours as needed.
