Job summary

T. Parker Host Career Center is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mobile equipment at Avondale Global Gateway in Avondale, LA. You will diagnose issues, repair, install parts, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Experience with CAT, Hyster, Yale equipment and related diagnostics is preferred. Strong reading of schematics and ability to work overtime are required for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics and service literature.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and company systems (UpKeep).

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance on mobile equipment assets.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and make repairs on first attempt.
• Complete documentation and follow up in a timely manner.
• Ensure work complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
