Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and machinery, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience with power and hand tools.
• A valid driver’s license is required. Candidates must also possess, or can obtain and maintain, a valid TWIC card.
• Must maintain a strict commitment to observing all health and safety requirements while demonstrating a strong working knowledge of applicable safety and accident prevention codes and regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of parts and supply inventory management.

Aufgaben

• Ensure operational condition of machinery by completing preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, heavy machines and equipment, and production equipment per diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using measuring and testing equipment.
• Control downtime by informing managers of routine maintenance scheduling and techniques.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with outside parts and supply vendors and service companies.
• Maintain equipment parts and supply inventories by determining appropriate levels and pre-ordering parts and supplies.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain logs detailing equipment repairs and maintenance and adhere to the maintenance schedule.
• Report problems to the appropriate Manager.
• Perform other related duties as required.
