Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of production equipment, ensuring it remains in safe and effective operating condition to meet production and quality targets.
• Assist equipment technicians or service personnel via phone, email, or on-site support.
• Develop effective communication with field personnel and dispatch.
• Ensure quality repairs to minimize rework and recalls.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Review and optimize shop tool requirements for efficiency.
• Report deficiencies and contribute to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
• Participate in technical training and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Coordinate with dispatch and parts personnel for timely parts delivery.
• Collaborate daily with internal departments, field managers, superintendents, and mechanics.
• Work hourly with overtime as needed; maintain a clean and organized service truck.
• Adhere to hours of service regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience & Education/Certification:

• Minimum 1 year of field experience repairing heavy construction equipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Knowledge of heavy construction machinery components, including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Diagnostic skills for hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.
• Ability to make quick repair decisions and work independently.
• Confidentiality and safety awareness.
• Experience with Caterpillar ET/SIS, Volvo Prosis, Cummins InSite, and basic welding skills.
