Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a key client, is working to source a reliable and skilled Equipment Mechanic for mining operations in Arizona.

The Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repairs

• Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of mining and heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, drills, and haul trucks.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure operational reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems efficiently.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures during repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment that complies with site safety standards.
• Identify and report hazards, and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability.

Technical Documentation

• Accurately complete maintenance records, service logs, and repair reports.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Communicate equipment status updates with supervisors and operators.

Support and Teamwork

• Assist with field breakdowns and emergency repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance planning teams to schedule servicing.
• Mentor junior mechanics or apprentices, supporting knowledge transfer and development.

The Requirements

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic, preferably in a mining or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Self-motivated with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
