Equipment Maintenance Technician Specialist

Position Summary: Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting, and installation of various semiconductor fabrication machines. This position involves working in Thin Films and operates on D shift: Thursday through Saturday one week, and Wednesday through Saturday the next, from 6:00 pm - 6:15 am.

Responsibilities:

1. Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating and repair manuals.
2. Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and implement corrective actions.
3. Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment.
4. Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
5. Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as required.
6. Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
7. Participate in Maintenance or cross-functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP.
8. Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasks.
9. Work with outside vendors as required.
10. Process chemical and gas handling.
11. Maintain critical spares and consumables inventory.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or related discipline, or equivalent military training/work experience.
• Experience: 10+ years of related experience in electromechanical-fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment modification.
• Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions, manage projects, work in cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and use hand tools and equipment technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic pump systems, multi-axis servo systems, vision components, chillers & cooling systems.
• Semiconductor industry experience.
• Familiarity with robotic/automated handling systems & vacuum systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Work 12-hour shifts.
• Work with chemicals and meet safety and cleanroom requirements.

Additional Details:

U.S. Person required due to ITAR regulations. Compensation ranges from $33.08 to $49.62 per hour with a 25% shift differential. SkyWater offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, stock options, and more.
