Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology in Warwick, RI, is seeking an Equipment/Maintenance Technician to dismantle, repair and assemble production equipment and to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting as part of a manufacturing team.

You will calibrate equipment, implement modifications as directed, and collaborate with Process Engineering on qualifications. Candidates should have 2–4 years of related experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of related equipment maintenance experience.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision; excellent computer, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Comprehensive troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment as required.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by Equipment engineer.
• Calibrate equipment as needed.
• Work with Process Engineering team on qualifications.
