Job summary

Lifting-Gear-Hire-Corp in Troy, MI seeks a mechanically inclined technician to maintain rental equipment and ensure immediate availability for safe use. You will inspect orders, troubleshoot and repair various hoists and rigging gear, and perform preventative maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma, a mechanical background, tool experience, and valid driver’s license with DOT certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical background or aptitude strongly preferred.
• Experience with air hoists, comealongs, manual/electric hoists or other rigging equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment orders and perform inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test electrical, hand-operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Operate forklift to load/unload and move equipment within the warehouse.
• Drive company vehicles to transport rental orders in a safe and timely manner.
