Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Technical School Degree with mechanical and electrical skills.
  • 2-5 years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read, interoperate and troubleshoot equipment using schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, procedures, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of diesel engines, fuel, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for heavy equipment.
  • Read and troubleshoot electrical systems using schematic drawings.
  • Understand DOT regulations and inspections for over-the-road equipment.
  • Use hand tools and power equipment safely in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and attend to special projects as directed.

Job Summary

Perform inspections and maintenance on all company equipment and property with emphasis on safety, quality and production as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, utilizing skills including but not limited to welding, electrical, industrial, automotive and construction.

Job Function
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strive to improve safety, procedures, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.
  • General knowledge of diesel engines, fuel, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems regarding heavy equipment.
  • General knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems including the ability to read, interoperate and troubleshoot equipment and machinery utilizing schematic drawings.
  • General knowledge of over-the-road equipment and DOT regulations and inspections.
  • Understanding and experience using hand tools and power equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task and safely work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a motivating positive attitude.
  • Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality.
  • Ability to work overtime, off shift and weekends assigned.
  • Special projects or any other work as specified by management.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or Technical School Degree with appropriate mechanical and electrical skills.
  • 2-5 years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience.
