Infra-Metals: Central in Marseilles, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support safety and efficiency across industrial equipment. You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs, read blueprints, and service diesel engines, hydraulic systems, cranes, and associated machinery.

The role requires reading schematics, diagnosing faults, and repairing electrical panels while coordinating with multiple warehouse areas. Overtime may be required, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Technical School Degree with mechanical and electrical skills.
• 3+ years general maintenance & repair experience or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of equipment and diesel repair.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, procedures, quality and efficiency.
• Read prints and schematics; troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic pumps.
• Repair, install and adjust industrial machinery.
• Work with overhead cranes, welding and diesel engines; DOT-compliant trailers.
• Maintain electrical systems and inspect equipment for code compliance.
• Create maintenance plans to solve malfunctions; coordinate with teams.

Performs periodic & required maintenance and repair all company property and equipment to maintain production, quality and safety as directed by a supervisor including but not limited to, welding, electrical, vehicle and/or machinery repair.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Maintenance Technician supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, procedures, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.
• General working knowledge of diesel engines, fuel management systems, hydraulic systems associated with large industrial fork trucks, computerize band saws for cutting mild carbon steel, CNC Oxy Fuel burning machines, blaster, plasma machines, and cranes.
• Able to read prints and schematics
• Able to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic pumps.
• Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
• Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery
• Able to work with remote-controlled overhead cranes, welding, diesel engines and over the road flatbed trailers with DOT requirements
• Working knowledge of electrical operations throughout the facility. (480V/3PH)
• Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
• Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
• Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment, and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity
• Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.
• Assemble and install electrical panels, and other electrical equipment
• Performs periodic and required maintenance and repairs on all company property and equipment as directed by maintenance supervisor, including but not limited to, welding, electrical, vehicle and machinery repair.
• Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
