Job summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for a long-term, day shift role with a semiconductor industry company in NW Portland, Oregon.

You will install, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and process supply systems, applying mechanical, electrical and control systems knowledge, including pneumatics and pumps. Some hazards and chemicals may be involved.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing or related industry.
• High School diploma or GED completed.
• Strong background in pipefitting and welding; experience with pumps and basic mechanical systems.
• Familiarity working with hazardous chemicals (including diaphragm changeouts for chemical pumps).
• Ability to interpret drawings, sketches and documents.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb or balance.
• Occasionally wear clean room attire and PPE; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, assemble and maintain equipment and process supply systems.
• Connect, route and assemble internal/external systems and components (gearboxes, pumps, electrical, etc.).
• Analyze equipment to determine malfunctions and decide on repair actions.
• Repair and replace components; maintain records of repairs, calibrations and maintenance.
• Acquire and maintain licenses as needed; participate in required training.
• Work independently on repair and preventive maintenance; occasional hazardous environments.

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is an Equipment Maintenance Technician for a long-term, day shift role with a Semiconductor industry company located in NW Portland, Oregon. This person will be responsible for providing installation, diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment and associated process supply systems. Requires skills and knowledge of at least some of the following: mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, programmable logic controls, pneumatics, vacuum technology and SPC (Statistical Process Control) knowledge. PAY: $32-$40/hr

Equipment Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Utilize technical skills to install, modify, assemble and maintain equipment and associated process supply systems. Accomplish tasks by effectively connecting, routing and assembling internal/external systems & components. Including but not limited: gearboxes, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, programmable logic controls and chemical. Analyze equipment or system to determine malfunction. Decide on proper repair action. Completes repairs by removing, repairing and replacing all necessary components of the equipment or system. Effectively maintains all records of repairs, calibrations, tests, preventative maintenance, spare parts and procedures. Acquire and maintain the necessary State/Federal licenses/certificates as needed for certain job tasks. Participates in and completes training as prescribed by corporate requirements and the immediate leadership. Assist in the analysis and frequently works independently in the repair and preventive maintenance. Occasional work required in hazardous areas involving potentially dangerous electrical power, chemicals and stored energy.

• Required to reach, and to manipulate using hands and fingers.
• Frequently required to wear clean room attire, personal protective equipment and/or breathing devices.
• Ability to lift and/or move, by pushing/pulling, up to 50 lbs.
