Job summary

PROMAN Staffing USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support manufacturing operations in Illinois. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, and assist with machine setups as needed.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience and proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical repair, and welding/fabrication. Candidates will perform PMs, safety checks, and CMMS logging in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment using prints, schematics, and technical manuals; assist with machine setups as needed.
  • Perform scheduled PMs and reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install equipment components as required.
  • Conduct routine safety checks; enforce lockout/tagout procedures and report compliance issues to supervisor.
  • Monitor equipment performance and drive proactive steps to reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Log all tasks and parts usage in MP2 (CMMS) accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment per housekeeping and safety policy.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance; must meet all Mechanic I qualifications

Technical Skills Electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical repair, fabrication/welding

Shop Equipment Mills, lathes, drill presses, band saws, welders

Systems MP2 or equivalent CMMS; basic PC/keyboard proficiency
