Job summary

Rh Showroom in Houston, TX is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment across our Profit Center. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, document service records, and provide hands-on mechanical support to customers and field operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems, and the ability to diagnose issues and plan repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing relevant equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to learn and operate computer systems used for maintenance claims and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Repair, refurbish, service and maintain equipment at the Profit Center, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, maintain service records, provide mechanical support to customers and field operations.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair rental equipment and other mechanical assets to support safe operation.
• Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation promptly.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Travel to customer locations or job sites as needed to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
• Provide mechanical expertise across team operations, projects, and daily activities.
• Assist customers and teammates with troubleshooting equipment issues and identifying solutions.
• Respond promptly to mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

About the Role:

You will:

• Repair, refurbish, service and maintain equipment at the Profit Center. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, maintain accurate service records, and provide mechanical support to customers, teammates, and field operations.

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair rental equipment and other mechanical assets to support safe and reliable operation.

• Complete required equipment check‑in and check‑out procedures for rental equipment, including documenting condition, maintenance needs, and readiness for use.

• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.

• Travel to customer locations or job sites as needed to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and support field operations.

• Provide mechanical expertise and hands‑on support across team operations, projects, and daily activities.

• Assist customers and teammates with troubleshooting equipment issues and identifying appropriate solutions.

• Respond promptly to mechanical issues to minimize downtime and keep projects and operations moving forward.

• Complete maintenance records, inspection reports, service documentation, and other required forms accurately and promptly.

• Follow established safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements when servicing or operating equipment.

• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.

• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing relevant equipment

• Possess a working knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance, which may include engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and circuit diagnostics.

• Be able to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs.

• Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used in managing maintenance claims and schedules and maintaining service records.

• Possessexcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Have strong organizational, multitasking abilities, and time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
