Job summary

Kalamazoo Metal Finishers Inc. is seeking a hardworking Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities operating efficiently. You’ll inspect our building for damage and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth production.

The ideal candidate is reliable, a team player and a problem solver with some maintenance experience. Specific duties include assisting the Maintenance Manager to ensure safe, uninterrupted production and contributing to preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical, welding, plumbing and fabrication areas.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain records and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete required safety training

Specific Duties: Provide assistance to Maintenance Manager to ensure safe uninterrupted production

Responsibilities

• Complete required safety training
• Provide maintenance support to Maintenance Manager
• Ability to perform duties with little or no supervision, while paying attention to detail
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to process or quality systems through preventative maintenance
• Maintain detailed records of preventative maintenance on shop, equipment, machinery; verify and record solutions
• Initiate, recommend and provide suggestions for improvement
• Other duties as assigned
