Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America is seeking an Equipment Maintenance General Assembly Maintenance Specialist to oversee automated GA shop maintenance, coordinate tasks and report progress.

You will develop action plans for downtime reduction, implement PM programs, train team members, manage budgets, and collaborate with AM/MGR to drive continuous improvement while flexible scheduling accommodating shifts and travel.

Qualifications

  • More than 3 years maintenance career in automated plants.
  • Trouble shooting ability for PLC based automation equipment.
  • Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems.
  • More than 1 year GA shop maintenance career in major automotive industry.
  • Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications.
  • AB PLC program and control circuit experience.
  • Performed many equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection and testing new/modified equipment and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strategic thinking and mindset.
  • Willingness for transformational changes.
  • Flexibility.
  • Domestic / International travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, monitor and perform technical processes in General Assembly shop to meet goals.
  • Report status of tasks at start, during and end.
  • Develop action plans to meet maintenance index (Downtime, PM Plan & Actual, Equipment monitoring system, Equipment improvements, Safety/Environmental).
  • Prepare detailed training plan for each team member to meet skill targets.
  • Prepare & execute annual operation plan and report status.
  • Support AM/MGR to foster teamwork.
  • Analyze GA shop downtime and propose improvements.
  • Flexible schedule based on shift rotation; handle urgent equipment issues.
  • Analyze shop maintenance budget for the year.
  • Verify exact part specifications and create material numbers for PR.
  • 1st point of contact for purchasing to obtain PO for PR processes.
  • In charge of PR, parts receiving, organizing, issuing and payment with supervisor approval.
  • Monitor maintenance materials inventory and distribution.
  • Communicate with AM/MGR to manage conflicts and support continuous improvement.

JOB TITLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Coordinates, monitors and performs technical processes related to General Assembly shop in maintenance department to meet company goals.
  • Report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during and conclusion.
  • Develop detail action plan to meet shop wise maintenance index. (Downtime, PM Plan & Actual, Equipment monitoring system, Equipment improvements, Safety/Environmental etc.)
  • Prepare detail training plan for each team member to meet skill level target of each section.
  • Prepare & execute annual operation plan and report status of each task.
  • Support AM/MGR to encourage good teamwork. (Meeting, Events, Collaboration)
  • Analysis GA shop downtime and provide improvement plan.
  • Need Flexible work schedule based on department shift rotation plan and can be requested to take care any urgent equipment issue (Night, Weekends, Holidays)
  • Analysis shop wise maintenance budget of the year.
  • Verify exact specification of all parts and create material numbers to make PR
  • 1st counterpart for purchasing team to get PO of each PR process
  • In charge PR, Parts receiving, Organizing, Parts issuing and payment with supervisor’s approval
  • Monitor purchasing, distribution and inventory control of maintenance material. (include Tools, Subsidiary materials etc.)
  • Need good communication with AM/MGR to supervise and control conflicts in the organization and take care individual distress from the work.
  • Need to be a mentor for shop members to encourage continuous improvement

Physical Demands

While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
