Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a hands-on Equipment Operations Support to assist with inventory, logistics, and maintenance of tools and equipment for construction field operations.

You will maintain records, assist with equipment movement, basic inspections, and data entry under guidance of senior team members, coordinating pickups and deliveries to project sites and ensuring proper documentation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related coursework or certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in equipment handling, construction logistics, warehouse support, or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Familiarity with safety practices for material handling and equipment operations.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and work outdoors or in warehouses; travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day equipment operations: receiving, staging, organizing, and tracking tools and equipment.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries of equipment to and from project sites; support loading and unloading activities.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and minor maintenance tasks to ensure safety and functionality.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in tracking systems and ERP platforms.
• Support scheduling and documentation of routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
• Respond to equipment requests with project teams and site personnel; ensure timely delivery and proper documentation.
• Assist with equipment check-in/check-out processes and identify damaged or missing items.
• Follow safety protocols related to equipment handling, PPE, and operational standards.
• Maintain organization in storage yards, shops, and tool rooms; participate in process improvement efforts.
