The role involves coordinating with faculty, staff, students, researchers, and external contacts while performing fieldwork and off-campus inventory activities.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience.
• University accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for completeness; tag equipment; record serial numbers and locations.
• Maintain computerized inventory records with accurate backups for federally/state-owned equipment.
• Conduct periodic physical inventories and verify records; assist with inventory procedures.
• Set up and maintain accounts, ledgers, journals, files, and reports; assist with month-end/year-end closings.
• Process, reconcile, monitor, and report accounting activity for the unit; ensure data integrity in the financial system.
• Record and reconcile income and expenses; monitor performance against budget; prepare related reports.
• Approve and process budget amendments, account charges, transfers, and reports.
