Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
• Experience with university accounting practices is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets for data management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for completeness; tag equipment; record serial numbers and locations.
• Maintain computerized inventory records and backup documentation.
• Conduct periodic physical inventories and verify records for accuracy.
• Set up and maintain accounts, ledgers, and reports; assist month-end close.
• Process and reconcile accounting documents; ensure policy compliance.
• Record, balance, and reconcile account activity; prepare and distribute reports.
• Monitor suspense items and follow up to clear issues.
• Support budgeting, transfers, and related financial procedures.
