Job summary

Gordon Brothers in Melville, NY is seeking a Manager in the Equipment Management Group to structure and underwrite equipment transactions, overseeing the lifecycle from origination to termination. The role emphasizes valuation, negotiation, and portfolio management with domestic travel up to 10%.

BA/BS required with 3+ years in asset management; ASA is a plus. Experience across leasing, risk, and CRM systems is valued, along with strong communication and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ direct experience in an asset manager role with equipment management focus.
• Experience in fast-paced, deal-driven, risk environments.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders as trusted advisor.
• Evaluate market conditions and equipment values to guide structuring.
• Recommend residuals and lease documentation including maintenance and return.
• Provide inspection and appraisal support for new and existing transactions.
• Assist in lease termination, buyouts, renewals, and inventory management.
• Assist in remarketing returned equipment with go-to-market strategies.
• Participate in portfolio reviews including profitability forecasting.
• Assist in troubled asset remediation including collections and litigation.
