Job summary

CSS Farms is seeking an Equipment & Operations Intern to learn hands-on skills in our chip potato operation. You will work with the Equipment Management Team on field equipment, maintenance, and process improvements during the May–August window.

You’ll gain exposure to maintenance, sourcing, planting, and irrigation tasks, while developing practical skills and leadership abilities in a collaborative farm environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience using basic software like Excel or Word is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities are expected.

Responsibilities

• Support the Equipment Manager with maintenance, repair, calibration, and operation of field equipment.
• Assist with fabrication, modification, and solving technical problems on equipment.
• Participate in equipment sourcing and purchasing.
• Provide support for equipment-related inventory.
• Assist with planting, harvesting, and irrigation management as necessary.
• Provide real-time performance feedback for growth and leadership development.
• Take on other tasks as needed.
