Job summary

Sigma Design Inc is seeking an Equipment Engineer for our Gresham, OR facility. You will ensure reliability, availability, and performance of site equipment, driving maintenance, reliability, and improvement programs in collaboration with Maintenance, Operations, and external partners.

The role requires deep understanding of site equipment, strong data-analysis skills, and the ability to lead projects from planning through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• On-site work 5 days per week.
• Ability to travel internationally and across time zones.
• Strong decision making and leadership capabilities.
• Mentoring and coaching experience.
• Effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth understanding of CVD diamond-synthesis reactors and site equipment.
• Use data analysis tools to improve equipment efficiency.
• Develop and standardize engineering and maintenance procedures.
• Manage projects on equipment reliability and commissioning.
• Prepare start-up plans for new equipment commissioning.
• Review and optimize SOPs to maximize efficiencies.
• Assist with factory/site acceptance procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment with Maintenance staff.
• Define critical spare parts and calibration equipment.
• Develop training programs for onboarding staff.
• Collaborate to deliver fully coordinated solutions.
• Be the in-house expert on production equipment.
