Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Lawrence, MA is seeking a recent college graduate for hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The role is based at our Lawrence fabrication facility with occasional support at Lowell, MA.

Typical hours are 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility based on business needs. The ideal candidate will have a BSME/BSEE or equivalent, strong mechanical and electronics knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot at the component

Qualifications

BSME, BSEE or equivalent degree.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how machines work.
Strong electronics knowledge.
Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
Experience in the use of DC test equipment.
Good written and verbal communication in English.
Experience analyzing data.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot problems and repair equipment.
Improve systems and equipment to optimize equipment uptime.
Interface with equipment suppliers and vendors to solve equipment problems or identify upgrades.
Research alternative replacement part suppliers and solutions.
Work with process engineers to select new equipment.
Support new tool installations.
Lead tool upgrade projects.
